At SoundRadar24, we’re thrilled to introduce JAY WATKIS, an independent Indie/Pop Rock artist whose music reflects genuine life experiences. With her roots in the Northeast and a raw, authentic approach to songwriting, JAY has captured the hearts of fans with songs that resonate on a deeply personal level.
Latest Projects and Upcoming Releases
JAY has an exciting schedule lined up! She’ll be back in the studio on November 28th to record new songs for her highly anticipated EP, “Nevermind”, set to release in March 2025. In addition, fans can catch her live performance on December 28th at Independent Sunderland. And there’s more—JAY is also working on a new music video for her song Outcome, expected next year!

Musical Influences and Unique Sound
Drawing inspiration from powerful artists like RORY, Lindsey Stirling, Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, Disturbed, and My Chemical Romance, JAY creates music that’s honest, edgy, and full of emotion. Her lyrics are crafted to reflect realness and vulnerability, connecting with listeners on an authentic level.
A Career Defining Moment
One of JAY’s most transformative moments was stepping into the studio for the first time to record her own lyrics. Moving forward as an independent artist has brought her a renewed sense of joy and determination, fueling her passion to make an impact in the music industry.
Future Plans and a Message to Fans
With her upcoming EP, “Nevermind”, and live performances, JAY is set to make waves in the indie music scene. For her fans, she shares a heartfelt message: “I’m incredibly grateful for every single bit of support I receive. Knowing people listen to what I have to say means more than anything. I hope my lyrics can be something people relate to or just jam out to!”
Her new songs, Outcome, The Pit, Anyone and Truth or Dare will be out next month, and she will be performing them at Independent Sunderland on December 28th, as well as more unreleased songs too!
Words of Inspiration
JAY’s journey is a testament to resilience. She nearly gave up on music in 2022, but today, she’s releasing her own songs and headlining gigs. Her advice? “Never, ever let somebody tell you you can’t. It is possible, and never, ever too late.”
JAY also wants to give a special shoutout to Hope Harris and Colin Rowel for reigniting her passion for music, guiding her as she chases her dreams.
